Happy Easter (yesterday)
My sister and her husband and dog were here the whole weekend. Penny followed their dog around well, like a puppy dog, all weekend. Made Penny quite exhausted. The Easter bunny came and hid eggs around the apartment. Our parents had to find them. An orange one was hidden in a bowl of clementines and a yellow one was hidden with the bananas...made it a little tricky. And it rained cats and dogs all day yesterday and today.
We are planning a trip to San Diego at the end of May/beginning of June. Dave has an aunt and uncle there so we are crashing there and playing with them. We are very excited to experience hot weather....we really hope it will be hot by then!
I've now been working all through March and half of April. I'm still a temp but I've been transferred from the temp agency's payroll to the company's payroll. I'm a little closer to becoming permanent. Dave started a job with the Census. He thinks it will last through next year.
and today I'm recovering from a chocolate hangover...The second purpose of Easter is to give, receive and eat chocolate!!!!

I found more pictures of Penny. This one is when whe was a little puppy. She is holding her pink stuffed hippo which met a most unfortunate demise a few weeks ago when it's head was ripped pen and all the stuffing came out.
Oh, and here she is with her first sheep. Yes, this one is gone too. She spent a weekend with her buddy Drake (my parents' dog) and they ripped it up. She got a new one for Easter. Let's see how long that one will last.
This is Penny playing with two toys at once. She is quite the mulit-tasker. Okay, that's it....I've turned into a crazy woman who only talks about her dog. Really, I have other interests!

I would love to take a trip to San Diego myself. I love visiting there and haven't been back for a few years. I love how proudly you show off your dog pictures. I find it humourous because I am NOT a dog person and would never, ever think of even taking dog pictures let alone blog about them. But then my blog is full of stupid quotes from my kids and who cares about that but me?

Well, I think it's perfectly fine to talk about your doggie. Penny is a cute little pup and she's part of the family.
Thank you for letting us crash at your pad for the weekend. But between you guys and parents, we're going to have to figure out better sleeping arrangements for the future. Anyway, we had fun. Spring will be here shortly so just be patient. If you want 70 degree weather, come down this weekend. It's going to be BEAUTIFUL!!!
